QA 2026 Membership Scheme

In order to comply with venue licensing requirements we need to be a club rather than operate a ticket system. So, in order to attend ANY QA event you need to be either a member, or the guest of a specified member. Each member may introduce one guest per event. It is hoped that many of our guests will choose to become members in their own right once they’ve been to their first event, but this is of course not mandatory.

Guests may not simply continue to attend our events however, as this isn’t fair on all our members who are then effectively subsidising their presence. A guest appearance is exactly that, a one-time opportunity to sample QA "in the flesh" before they commit.

Total guest numbers will be capped at 20% of the attendees. First come, first served.

Given the fact that QA is resuming after quite a pause, I propose to offer a short “trial membership” which effectively will cover the costs of relaunching and mounting our first full Soirée (Jan 26th).

Paid up members may attend the drinks party at Trisha’s (1 Dec) and or the REDUX Soirée (26 Jan). If you are unable to attend either but would still like to support the cause, then your membership will put you at the top of my list for the next event, whatever / whenever / wherever this may be. Your trial membership expires once you have attended your first Soirée (but not after the drinks party), and will be renewable once further events are announced.

Once things are running smoothly there’ll be a discounted annual membership option for those who expect to be able to attend most events, but also a cheaper “international” membership for those who are unlikely to make it to London regularly etc. Once we start organising house parties the host(s) may require an additional cover charge for catering/drinking etc - membership will be required to attend but there will likely be additional costs per event. This will be detailed in advance once these events commence (circa Easter 2026?).

Everyone who pays their initial/trial membership fee (£25.00/€30.00) by 31 December 2025 becomes a Founder Member and this tier will enjoy various perks as QA develops. Founder Members will have privileges, the first of which will be lasting priority for their guests!

All payments to be made via bank transfer to my nominated accounts (one GBP, one Euro). Details via our Signal chat group. No cash on the night, no special cases. Thanks!

In time we may automate payment processing via the website but for now members will be asked to complete a simple form online and then confirm their bank transfer reference to hook things together. This system will also show who is attending each event, add a short biography (taken from Signal and or FetLife) and a mugshot or avatar. This will all be within a password protected area on the website.
